If you are umming and oooing about signing up for Scottie Academy, here is something that might help you decide to sign up too.

Meet Ted. A puppy in November 2022, he did a film shoot with handbag maker Radley. Undaunted his owner has decided to sign him up for the Scottie Academy’s first term which starts on 1 March.

Scottie Academy will admit up to six student (humans) and their dogs (up to 2 each student) for an intense but fulfilling course called Cameo. This is a chance for owner and dog to learn new tricks to impress friends and to determine whether the Scottie could become theatre, advert or silver screen material.

Ted’s owner told Scottie Club UK despite the head start having done social media adverts for Radley, “this was all still very new and a fun challenge.”

Scottie Academy is a chance for owner and dog to bond and to have fun learning new routines. It could also change their lives if it leads to media work.

Ted went on to become the poster boy for Radley’s 2023 stand at Crufts, the world’s most-famous dog show and exhibition.

A professional trainer, Kathleen Tepperies, takes the lessons online so you just need to get out of your armchair! But no travel is required.

And if you want to try term 2 and 3, called Co-Star and Star, this will be possible upon completing Cameo. But equally there is no obligation to continue with the course.

Visit the Scottie Acadmy page today to discover more and to register your interest and ask any questions you may have. Again, there is no obligation to enrol. You are simply registering your interest by 14 February 2024. Should you wish to proceed, Kathleen will need you to send payment for the course prior to the course commencing. Hence by 24 February.

Here is Ted in action as a puppy.
