After a frantic weekend of voting by Members of Scottie Club UK, and a very close-run event, ScottieVision delared its first ever winner of the song contest to find a theme anthem for the club.
Members were encouraged to vote on our WhatsApp Alerts or Convo groups, and they did just that. 48 votes were cast when many Members were away enjoying the last gasps of the summer weather. Voting opened on 30 August at 7am and concluded on 31 August at 7pm.
It was expected to be close when Aroo performed two versions of a lyric penned by George Matlock for the song “Scottie Pride”. Song number one, the more uptempo version, was declared the winner, garnering 28 votes, but song number two, a more restrained Scottish style ballad, still landed a respectable vote with 20 votes cast.

We thank everyone who voted and sorry to those who didn’t. It was meant to be a bit of summer fun and a pilot for a more elaborate song contest to be held in May 2026 when we go head-to-head with Eurovision.
