Scottie Club UK is asking Members to help choose a song that will become their united tune for 2025!
“ScottieVision” will put Scotties on the map. We will run an inaugural pilot vote via WhatsApp polling on the weekend of Saturday-Sunday 30-31 August, 2025. It will be totally FREE to vote but only Scottie Club UK Members on 30 August 2025 will be eligible to vote.
The contest will open at 0700 BST on 30 August and the winner will be announced right after polling ends on WhatsApp Convo at 1900 BST on 31 August.
There will be a choice between two songs crafted for us by band “Aroo”.
Members will have to decide which one they want crowned as the club’s song.
Why are we doing this? To raise awarenesss about our beloved Scottish Terriers which can lead to more investment in healthcare for this breed of dog, as well as to celebrate the milestone that Scottie Club UK is now a national network with an expanding number of Meeting Marshals bringing Scotties’ owners together for Walkabouts with their Very Important Pooches throughout the UK!
In the best traditions of that famous European music festival, you can already hear the songs through August, so that we can all get behind both amazing versions.
And if you play the songs and your Scotties react by singing along, please do share your videos with us on WhatsApp so that we can distribute them on YouTube, social media and on ScottieClub.UK website!

The band performing, Aroo, is the same for both tunes and the lyrics, penned by George Matlock, are also the same.
So you are literally voting for a song, not the visual experience of the performers or whom the performers represent (no politics here they are all Scottish, Welsh, English and Northern Irish performers!).
