This latest gathering of the Scottie clan took place in pleasant early autumn conditions, the scorching Summer heatwaves now being consigned to distant memory. Meeting at the Diana carpark our dogs bristled in anticipation of the walk ahead which was led by Pam Brough.

Early on in the proceedings we encountered a heavily antlered Stag which bellowed loudly at the sight of black Scotties on his patch, then standing on a prominent vantage point to ensure that they knew who was boss. There was complete disinterest from the pack, the Scotties being more focused on playing in and around the small lakes which we circumvented along our way.
In all we saw 12 Scotties in this gathering, a 13th – Mungo – caught up with us towards the end.

There was an opportunity for pictures with the backdrop of a weeping willow tree by one of the lakes. All the Scotties were well behaved and owners agreed that the next December walkabout is an event to look forward to.

See everyone then!
