Scottie Club UK is proud to work with Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme (STECS), the national charity founded in 1976.
Through our association, we have learned that if Scottie owners have canine medication – pills and other medical products – that they have not used and no longer need, these can be donated to STECS.
It seems hopeless and pointless to throw away useful medication when there are other Scottie owners out there who cannot afford medication and pet insurance on rescued Scotties who have landed in hard times. We all want to help them, because the community of Scottie owners cares.
Scottie Club UK has teamed up with STECS to raise awareness of how you can help.
It all started when LSC member Holly got in touch to ask us how she could donate medication after the loss of her treasured Scottie Monty. This resulted in STECS’s Welfare Officer and Scottie MOT podcast co-host Cath Marchbank getting in touch to explain that good medication need not go to waste. Check out the Collared! podcast with Holly here.
Please send medication, surgical supports, bandages, any medical items that are clean, unused and still in protective wrapping to:
Cath Marchbank, Rydings Barn, North Rd, Bretherton, Lancashire PR26 9AY.
Please mark on name of medication and size (for pills in milligrams). This is important as sometimes it is not clear if original box is missing. Please ensure that all content is within expiry date before sending. Otherwise, please dispose locally.
Thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.
