The sun shone for this latest gathering of the Scottie clan, it felt very welcome after weeks of stormy winds and rain.
Scottie owners decided to put the Christmas shopping and decorating to one side, giving their much loved pooches an opportunity to have a run around in the open spaces of Chiswick Gardens.
After meeting in front of the main house, the group stepped forward with David leading the way at the front, his young Scottie Mungo being full of feisty energy.
Some Scotties proudly (or possibly not!) wore their Christmas jackets. A clan photo took place by the railings at the classic bridge, it was amazing to see them all so well behaved and patient in a line together.
Having arrived at the the cricket pitch there was an opportunity for some dogs to charge about off-lead. There was inevitable interest in the squirrel population – fortunately there were no casualties as Scotties can’t climb trees!
We gathered for refreshments at the end of the Walk and there was an opportunity to reflect on a really enjoyable afternoon. It was good that the Scottie wheaten Milou had a chance to catch up with his pals – another sporting a rather fetching red Christmas jacket.
In total 17 Scotties attended the Walkabout this afternoon, a remarkable achievement at this busy time of year.
Wishing all Scotties and their owners a very happy Christmas and New Year. See you at the next walkabout in March 2025!!
A wonderful walk, the sun shone which was so welcome on a chilly day before Crimbo!
TED was super excited to see his buddies & always enjoys his treats, he says a special thank you to Jann.
David with Mungo was brilliant on doing the route around the park. We had such a good time, it is always a pleasure to see everyone and those ICONIC SCOTTIES 🐾🐾🐾
